Stuart Perkins Managing Director & Flight Operations
Stuart brings more than 30 years of aviation experience to UA9, combining an extensive flying background with aircraft leasing, flight training and international aviation operations.
A highly experienced pilot and former owner and operator of a successful seaplane centre and flight school, Stuart has accumulated more than 4,000 instructional flying hours on seaplanes alone. His aviation career also includes more than a decade in aircraft leasing, providing extensive experience in aircraft acquisition, commercial operations and working with operators across international markets.
Stuart founded UA9 after identifying a requirement for a capable, affordable and adaptable aircraft able to support surveillance, patrol and specialist operations without the acquisition and operating costs traditionally associated with larger aviation platforms.
As Managing Director, Stuart leads the commercial and operational development of UA9, working directly with government agencies, NGOs, operators and industry partners to develop aircraft configurations around specific operational requirements.
He also leads UA9 flight operations and training, including pilot conversion, operational training and the safe introduction of the UA9 into customer operations.
